Here we give thanks for this great love and hope received, to have received the benefit of this amazing salvation and desire to offer help. Because of this benefit, we know that we are the people whose name has been sanctified; this is our benefit and great blessing when we set ourselves on the scriptures for Jehova, swearing to his eternal covenant that we become a church established in America, the people there and the people of the Hawaiian Islands as well, as brethren together rich in righteousness in Christ as spoken in the gospel. It is a church placed in this archipelago by the will of God, as a light [page 3 of 8] and a blessing for the people there, the current generation and the generations to follow. To that end, we hereby declare our true beliefs before the presence of God and the presence of those in earth. 1. We believe that Jehova has no beginning and no end. He has no shape or form, and is not seen by man, but he dwells eternally in all places and sees all things. He is powerful, wise, and righteous; all glory and goodness are his. He created the earth and the heavens, the people and the angels, the realm of earth and heaven and all that dwells within, and is the one who perpetuates and watches over all things according to his will. He alone is God, and all other things [page 4 of 8] that would be called a god are worthless and are a work of sin. 2. We believe in the Holy Scriptures; the Old Testament and the New Testament are the word of God and are true, holy and are the one source for faith and honoring God. 3. We believe that in the beginning man was made in the likeness of God, pure and blessed, but fell in his own sin, and therefore on the side of man, all men are in sin and death, all generations. 4. We believe in the Lord, Jesus Christ, and that he is the Son of God. He died on the �cross as atonement for our wrongs and the wrongs of the entire earth. There is great life in his blood, [page 5 of 8] the forgiveness of trespasses, justification, and eternal salvation for all who believe in him. There is no other name given under heaven among man by which we are saved; he is the King of Zion, and all power in heaven and earth are his. He is judge who sentences the living and the dead. 5. We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of God, who reveals to men their wrongs, and restores them to the likeness of God and true perfection and prepares them to dwell eternally in heaven. We believe that Jehova has an everlasting church in the world at all times where he graciously dwells, and desires to establish all nations of the earth [page 6 of 8] and make them eternally glorious, and he also desires that all people should be supplied with the benefit of the good word of the Lord, that they would in understanding devote themselves to his church, and come into his presence in accordance with all of his laws and decrees with a clean heart. We also believe in the resurrection of the body, and the assembly on the great day (the day of the coming of the Lord), and eternal life for the righteous and eternal death for the wicked. Here we all are, behind those great words of truth, in the presence of angels and men, we knowingly choose the Lord today, Jehova, the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit, as our God and Father, that we may have salvation, and so that we may be clean. We humbly offer [page 7 of 8] ourselves to him, and the responsibility we have chosen, to truly become his, and only his, his forever. We declare that this is an eternal right for us, to glorify our God by doing good deeds in accordance with his word. By trusting in his help we are able; we agree to attend church in faith and by the decrees of the word of Jesus Christ, and truly maintain prayer to God, worship him while alone, worship amongst family, and worship in the assembly of men, and obey the decrees of the New Testament of the Messiah, baptism and the communion or the Lord, and attend to his kingdom and all the things he has commanded of us. We each graciously offer one another to the Lord. We faithfully say that we will guard one another, do good [page 8 of 8] to each other and help one another in goodwill, endeavoring that others would be blessed and Jesus Christ would be glorified. That is what we are doing, and repenting for our wrongs in humility and trusting in the blood of the eternal covenant, that our sins would be forgiven. We devote ourselves completely to God and to his word, which is necessary, to the one who can set us above, establish and bless us with eternal riches, all people who have been purified.
